A graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Studio Fine Art with a focus on black & white film photography from Humboldt State University, Tamara is a sixth generation native of her hometown in the Gold Country of Northern California, where she appraises relics from a bygone era and cares for three furry beasts, a flock of enchanted hens, a Cock and a fairy child.

Michael is a landscape photographer whose foundation began with shooting a large format 4x5 film camera. He has had the honor of making his living from his photography for over 20 years and is thankful for counties like Nevada that inspire and prioritize both the arts and artists. I use photography as a means to document the everyday world around me. I make pictures that call attention to things that other people might overlook or consider mundane. This exploration of the mundane helps me be more fully present in my everyday life. My goal is to make photographs that make the viewer go “AHA, I never noticed that!” and draw them into the beauty of the mundane. I fell under the spell of photography’s power to awaken my wonder back when I was in college after seeing an exhibit of Elliot Porter dye transfer images. Then I knew- this is my work! I’m enchanted with the medium’s ability to represent our familiar “real” world, but through a frame of the extraordinary. Our world is full of surprises – and it ultimately suggests that depending upon the viewer’s perspective and the right frame of view, the experience of this world may reach the sublime.
