PAMELA MONTALBANO
After thirty plus years in clay, Ms. Montalbano has worked large and small but always with elegance and animation in her work. She believes that clay is the wave of the future and the link to the past. And the medium lends itself to play, contemplation and camaraderie. Her work is best described as sculptural vessels.

MARINA CALIARI
I'm Marina Caliari and I'm Brazilian. I got my BFA in fine arts where I discovered ceramics. I attended a masters program in restoration of cultural heritage in Barcelona, Spain, specializing in Conservation of archaeological ceramics. In 2012 I fell in love with making ceramics all over again and I’ve been hand-building sculptural and functional work ever since. I love incorporating materials like wood and felt into my pieces. I’m inspired by all the women around me, nature, the ocean, how we represent our memories, and the relationships between people and their objects. I celebrate all things imperfect.

SWEETLAND POTTERY

SHAYNA CHRISTIE
A Grass Valley native artist, Shayna Christie has been working in the medium of gourds for the last several years. Gourds are a natural product with amazing variation in size, shape, and texture. The luminaries she creates are wood-burned, carved, and pigmented to echo forms and shapes found in nature. Each gourd has two lives, lit and unlit. Day and night. Ordinary world and shadow world. The intricate play of light and shadows is essential to her work.

DAN SCHWARTZ

JANE MARKHAM
My focus is bringing California hardwoods that might be destroyed back to life as treasure & incense boxes highlighting the grain patterns. We let the wood talk. All work done in my shop.

CULLY HARTNETT

JAY GORDIN
My goal as a knifemaker is to create a cutting tool that is as artful as it is functional. The knife has to feel good in your hand… ergonomics and balance are important. It has to please the owner in shape, form, fit and finish. I hand forge my blades out of high carbon steel. The handle material I use varies from micarta to elk, deer and moose horn, fossil ivory, exotic woods, leather, brass, copper and silver.
